230gr Round Nose in 45 (45 Colt from Rifle)

Tried the 230gr plated out of my Puma/Rossi M92 454 Casull using the same load as I use for hard cast lead (6.5 - 7 gr of green dot), and the results were a disaster. Couldn't stay on the backboard at 50 yards, much less on the paper. "Mr Bullet" suggested they needed to go faster than the 800 or so FPS I was generating. I was able to find some "Ruger" loads written for 2400, and scored a pound on Monday.

DO NOT TRY THESE LOADS IN A "COWBOY ACTION" REVOLVER OR RIFLE.

They ARE going much faster now, and all on the target at 50 yards.
